Piana features a perfectly engineered interlocking system of six elements forming its base, crafted entirely from solid wood and designed as a self-supporting structure. Its balance is achieved through the precise combination of two inclined X-shaped frames and a central pyramidal-section crossbeam, which fits seamlessly into a dedicated housing. Completing the design and ensuring its stability are two cylindrical elements that pass through the upper part of both legs and rest on the crossbeam. The latter is enhanced at its ends by a refined structural detail—an insert of a contrasting wood species—that prevents movement. Piana is available with a rectangular glass top featuring softly rounded edges. The base comes in European walnut and natural oak, stained or matte lacquered finishes, as well as Canaletto walnut with a lacquered crossbeam.
