Bross: Interpreting Natural Materials

Marble and stone, wood and cork: Bross explores their expressive potential, creating vibrant, highly tactile products that embody a timeless aesthetic. Remodeled by leading designers such as Monica Armani, Giulio Iacchetti, Michael Schmidt, Marco Spatti, Victor Vasilev and Marco Zito, natural materials evolve into dining and coffee tables, chairs and armchairs, ideal for intimate residential settings as well as contract and office environments.

Marble, in Bianco Carrara or Nero Marquina, distinguishes the base of Loop, a coffee and side table by Victor Vasilev. The result of a meticulous study of proportions and the delicate balance between its circular elements, the collection expresses a refined dialogue between natural stone and steel, offered in black or brushed bronze finishes. Stone is also selected by Monica Armani for Aretha, where it defines the substantial truncated cone base of the dining table, elegantly paired with a technical fabric top. The composition is refined by a top up to 160 cm in diameter, offered in full-body ceramic — gracefully echoing the natural stone veining of the base — or in finely stained ash and sophisticated matte lacquer finishes.

Wood, a defining symbol of the brand for over forty years, shapes Ademar, the dining and coffee table collection by Giulio Iacchetti, available in a range of configurations and sizes. The structure, in solid oakwood or Canaletto walnut, features four tapered, angled legs supporting a top with refined, varying thicknesses. Offered in circular or oval forms up to 300 cm in length, the top can match the base for material continuity or be selected in marble, including Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquina, or Portoro.

In River, the family of tables designed by Marco Spatti, wood attains its most refined and expressive form. The design concept explores the natural smoothing and erosion of water over matter, giving rise to a structure defined by soft, gently rounded profiles that evoke a profound tactile sensibility.

Here, a sculptural trestle base in solid ash or Canaletto walnut supports a round or oval top in a range of dimensions, extending up to 350 cm, available in matching wood finishes, as well as in marble or glass. Wood is not only employed as a primary material; Michael Schmidt also selects it to articulate and elevate the refined details of some of his most iconic seating designs.

In Yuumi, the curved element that defines the collection, elegantly shaping both armrests and backrest, is crafted in ashwood, in harmonious continuity with the base composed of four tapered legs. Defined by a sophisticated interplay of solids and voids, Yuumi is offered with a wooden shell and an upholstered seat, available in leather or fabric. The Nora seating family, comprising an armchair, lounge, and stool, features gracefully inclined rear ash legs that extend seamlessly to the underside of the armrest and are available in natural, stained, or refined matte lacquered finishes.

Marco Zito explores the design and expressive potential of cork for Bross with Slice, a refined, versatile, and modular piece. The form presents a compact volume, rounded at one end and diagonally cut at the other, enabling seamless combinations of one or more modules to create bespoke configurations, from stool and coffee table to bedside table or outdoor seating. The cork is available in natural or dark finishes for a subtly raw, controlled effect, as well as in sophisticated glossy or matte lacquered options.
