Designed by Simonit & Del Piero studio, the table features a perfect interlocking system of six elements forming the base, inspired by Kigumi<\/em>\u2014an ancient Japanese construction technique\u2014in which architectural structures are created through the composition of elements without the use of nails or glue.<\/p>\n The base is made entirely of solid wood and is self-supporting: balance is ensured by the precise combination of two inclined X-shaped structures and a central beam with a pyramidal section, into which they fit seamlessly. Completing the design and ensuring its stability are two cylindrical elements that pass through the upper part of both legs and rest on the beam, which is further refined at its ends by a subtle structural detail\u2014an insert in a different wood types\u2014that restrains movement.<\/p>\n The rectangular top is available in glass, with a thickness of 1,5 cm and slightly rounded edges, with a width of 85 or 90 cm and a length of up to 220 cm: a transparent, lightweight surface that enhances the base\u2019s distinctive and essential design.<\/p>\n The reissue expands the range of finishes traditionally available for this model, introducing Canaletto walnut with a lacquered beam alongside the wood types already featured in the original version, such as European walnut and oakwood, natural, stained or matte lacquered.<\/p>\n In its dimensional variety, Piana stands as a tribute to Bross\u2019s history and its pursuit of innovative design, with wood at its core, offering an elegant furnishing solution that remains strongly contemporary for residential, hospitality, and office settings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" First introduced in the early 1980s and a symbol of Bross design history, Piana is now back in production and returns in a special re-edition that preserves its iconic aesthetic.
