In bouclé fabrics or other soft tweeds, structured and with a warm effect: Bross armchairs are dressed in the most popular upholstery of the autumn season, emphasizing their soft and welcoming shapes, where you can find relax and comfort in the warmth of your own home. Lounge chairs with high backrests to immerse yourself in silence, such as Peggy, Ava and Mysa, armchairs that envelop you, such as Velia, sinuous chaise longues and generous padding such as SIT and Aretha, to be placed freely in living spaces, in front of a fireplace or in the bedroom, showcase a design made up of meticulous details and material combinations.
Peggy, Ava and Mysa combine the wooden structure – a recurring theme in the three collections – with a substantial shell, slender in height to support the back and rest the head. With Ava and Mysa, German designer Michael Schmidt has created an ergonomic shell in which the seat and backrest are completely continuous: the former features a hexagonal shape, softened, with sloping armrests that form an elegant outward curve; in the second, the inspiration is Nordic, Mysa has a shell completed by a seat cushion and base options either legs in solid natural oak, stained or matt lacquered, or four-star metal base, black lacquered. Peggy, designed by Marco Zito, has a unique aesthetic, thanks to its distinctive headrest: emphasized in its shapes and proportions, it is the hallmark of this product, defined by a wooden trestle base that includes the armrests, with a padded insert upholstered in the same fabric as the lounge chair.
Marco Zito is also the designer of Velia and SIT, and his search for unconventional details is expressed differently in these two additional families. In Velia a fully upholstered and enveloping armchair, the full-height C-shaped backrest is marked by folds accentuated by vertical stitching that create a sinuous wave pattern on the front, serving both an aesthetic and ergonomic function. In SIT, the architect and designer plays on the contrast between slender and solid, between full and empty, with a thick, contoured padded shell that seems to float above the four metal support legs. This effect is even more evident in the chaise longue, which can be combined with the armchair, with or without an integrated small table.
Finally, soft curves make a striking comeback in Aretha, the extensive line of furniture by Bross designed by Monica Armani. Here, in the lounge version, the backrest seems to fold over to conceal the upper part of the structure to which it is attached, doubling its thickness for a full, harmonious look.
